My First Cheaterbite

If you’re an observant reader, you may have noticed the new addition to my blogroll, Cheaterbites.  Cheaterbites is the brainchild of my friend Ali, and I couldn’t be more excited to have a fellow food-blogger friend.

If you are thinking about starting a blog, you likely have an idea.  You have something you want to write about and share with the world, or at least your mother, who will tune in everyday regardless of what others think.  But if you are anything like me, when the time comes to name said blog, you will be at a total and complete loss.  Not so for Ali.  She and her mom took “cheaterbites,” little snatches of food, while they cooked–before they ever got around to serving anything, thus the name of her blog was born.

Ali was kind enough to share her husband’s chocolate chip cookie recipe with the world, and I was excited to jump in the kitchen and give these a go.  Once baked, they were the size of my hand, and were packed with chocolate chips.  I made the dough before dinner (had several cheaterbites of my own), let it chill while we ate, and baked the cookies up fresh for dessert, so they would still be warm when we ate them.  Because they’re so big, the outsides are done baking while the insides are nice and gooey.  Click on over and let Ali show you what to do.  Needless to say, a glass of milk is a must-have.
