And thanks to a coworker, I love crack. Which is what I affectionately call this cream cheese and brown sugar dip. She says it’s a classic in her family, and that many an after school snack was shared over a bowl of this dip. It’s totally perfect for dipping pretzels and apples. So creamy and sweet, and so addicting. I took one swipe at lunch the other day and was hooked for life.
To make a bowl to share with your family, you will need:
- 1 package cream cheese, softened
- 1 C brown sugar
- 1 T vanilla
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- milk, for thinning (optional)
Mix cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and cinnamon in bowl of a mixer for several minutes, until sugar has dissolved and mixture is almost whipped. If you like a more goopy dip, add a T of milk at a time, until you reach just the right consistency. Grab anything and everything that can be used for dipping and go to town.
Looks wonderful! Reminds me of my “crack” — which is pumpkin dip (http://greendoorhospitality.wordpress.com/2012/11/15/holiday-entertaining-pumpkin-dip-with-apple-slices/) which is a very similar concept, namely cream cheese + sugar + seasonings = yummy goodness! I am going to need to try your brown sugar “crack”!!
Kenley

Crack day was intense, to say the least.
Wow, I’ve never seen crack before! Looks delicious!
