Smitten [tomato and sausage risotto]

with Smitten Kitchen.  When Deb shares a recipe, you know it’s going to be great.

In just 45 minutes, you can go from this,

*plus some tomatoes and water, which I failed to photograph,

The flavors in this risotto work perfectly.  I’ve never made risotto with meat before, but the sausage (I used spicy) adds a little kick, and the spinach provides the perfect balance.  The pop of color certainly doesn’t hurt either.
